Disclaimers

Last updated: March 30, 2026

INSG is a diagnostic tool that helps you identify potential conversion issues on your website or online store. Please read these disclaimers carefully before acting on any information provided by the service.

AI recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees

INSG uses a rule-based diagnostic engine (SBDA) combined with AI to generate fix recommendations. The diagnostic engine detects behavioral patterns in your visitor data — such as rage clicks, dead clicks, scroll drop-offs, slow page loads, and checkout friction — and scores each finding by confidence level and estimated impact. AI then writes a human-readable recommendation based on that evidence.

These recommendations are suggestions based on observed patterns. They are not guarantees of specific outcomes. Every store is different, and a recommendation that works well for one store may not produce the same results for another. Always use your own judgment before making changes to your store.

Revenue estimates are approximations

When INSG displays estimated revenue impact (e.g., "this issue may be costing you $X/month"), these figures are calculated from your store's traffic volume, conversion rates, average order value, and the behavioral signals associated with a specific issue. They are rough approximations intended to help you prioritize — not financial projections.

Actual revenue impact depends on many factors outside INSG's visibility, including product pricing, inventory, marketing spend, seasonality, and customer intent. Do not rely on these estimates for financial planning, reporting, or investment decisions.

Diagnostic rules and confidence scoring

INSG's diagnostic engine evaluates your visitor behavior using a set of deterministic rules. Each rule looks for a specific pattern — for example, a high rate of rage clicks on a particular element, or a significant drop-off at a specific step in checkout. When a pattern is detected, the engine assigns a confidence score based on sample size, consistency, and statistical significance.

A high-confidence finding means the pattern is strong and consistent. It does not mean the suggested fix will definitely resolve the issue, nor does it guarantee a specific revenue outcome. Low-confidence findings are flagged as "Watch" items and may resolve on their own as more data is collected.

Before/after comparisons

When you mark a finding as "fixed," INSG compares metrics from before and after the change. These comparisons show correlation, not causation. Metric changes may be influenced by other factors such as traffic volume changes, seasonal patterns, marketing campaigns, or other modifications made to your store during the same period.

Cart Rescue Nudge

The Cart Rescue Nudge feature (available on Pro plans) automatically creates discount codes and displays them to visitors who show hesitation signals during checkout. INSG creates these discounts through the Shopify API using your store's permissions. You are responsible for reviewing the discount configuration and ensuring it aligns with your pricing strategy. INSG is not liable for any revenue loss resulting from discounts generated by this feature.

Privacy and data collection

INSG does not collect personal data from your website visitors. We use no cookies, no localStorage for identification, and no fingerprinting. Visitor counting relies on a daily-rotating anonymous hash (IP + User-Agent + Accept-Language + screen width + daily salt) that cannot be reversed to identify individuals.

For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

INSG integrates with Shopify, Stripe, and other third-party platforms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any of these companies. Their respective trademarks belong to their owners. Service availability may be affected by changes to third-party APIs or platforms outside our control.

Not professional advice

Nothing provided by INSG constitutes financial, legal, or professional business advice. Revenue estimates, conversion recommendations, and diagnostic findings are informational tools to assist your decision-making. Consult appropriate professionals for financial planning, legal compliance, or business strategy decisions.
